GRANITE CLUB GOES HIGH PERFORMANCE

TARAFLEX FLOORING
ATLANTA, GA, OCTOBER 15, 2007 – Toronto’s Granite Club has chosen to install Taraflex® Sports Flooring by Gerflor in its state-of-the-art fitness facility. The 6,500 square feet of Taraflex® Multi-Use 3.0 in patterns of blue and gray was installed in the two-level fitness center which includes exercise machines and free weights and in the group exercise studios where aerobics, yoga and spinning classes are held.
According to Phil Delaire, assistant athletics director, the fitness facility attracts a steady flow of club members who have been putting the flooring to the test since its installation in late 2005. The flooring’s good looks and comfort contribute to the facility’s high demand.
“Cleaning is not an issue,” says Delaire, “it’s a lot cleaner and healthier than what we had in there before - carpet. As far as the amount of traffic, it’s held up great. We get about 500 to 600 visits a day.”
The Granite Club is a private social and athletic club in Toronto, Ontario. It has 11,000 members. The Fitness Center is the most-used facility in the club.
