Gerflor, the parent company of Taraflex® Sports Flooring, has been producing synthetic flooring since 1947. More than 300 million square feet of Taraflex, the world’s leading indoor sports flooring, has been installed worldwide in athletic facilities, educational buildings, fitness centers and religious institutions.

Genuine Sports Flooring since 1947 Gerflor’s sports flooring expertise guarantees performance, comfort, safety and durability. With Gerflor innovation, Taraflex® offers different floors for professional and competitive sports, casual recreation and multipurpose uses.

The multi-layered construction of 100% pure vinyl, a reinforced fiberglass grid and closed-cell foam backing provides superior shock absorption, helps fight fatigue, allows accurate pivoting, reduces chances of friction burn and delivers consistent ball bounce. Proprietary product treatments resist scuff marks and food stains, prevent bacteria and fungus growth and create an impermeable surface that resists dirt and cleans easily.

The World Leader in Indoor Synthetic Sports Flooring

Since 1976, Taraflex® has appeared at eight consecutive Olympic Games. Taraflex® floors meet and exceed the stringent performance standards mandated by all major flooring associations and are ISO 9001 and 14001 certified and tested according to DIN V 18032-2 (April 2001). Gerflor is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. Taraflex® floors can help earn LEED building credits. They are 100% recyclable with 43% recycled material and rate very low in VOC emissions.

In 2005, Gerflor and The ATP established a three-year partnership which designates Taraflex® as the “Official ATP Court Surface.” Gerflor and the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) based in Lausanne, Switzerland agreed Taraflex® will be used for every FIVB-sanctioned competition and event worldwide for four years.
